Distributors: Enhanced Partner Portal Dashboard
CloudAlly introduces a redesigned Distributor Dashboard that provides improved visibility into partner activity and simplifies partner management.
As the number of distributors using CloudAlly Partner Portal continues to grow, there is an increasing need for more efficient management experience. The previous distributor dashboard relied on an older interface, provided limited search and filtering capabilities, and lacked a centralized view of partner health and status.
This release introduces a modernized dashboard with a refreshed user interface and improved navigation. The new homepage includes dedicated Partners and Direct Customers tabs, making it easier to switch between views and manage accounts.
A new Overview section provides an at-a-glance summary of backup and billing status across all partners, helping distributors identify operational and billing issues sooner. Enhanced search and filtering capabilities make it easier to locate partners and focus on accounts that require attention.
The redesigned dashboard provides a clearer view of partner environments and enables distributors to manage partners more effectively.
Partners: REST API Enhancements for User Management
CloudAlly introduces new user management APIs that enables distributors and resellers to create and manage users programmatically. These enhancements make it easier to integrate CloudAlly with existing workflows while maintaining control over user access and permissions.
As partners increasingly rely on automation and integrations, there is a growing need to manage users through APIs rather than manual processes. This release expands CloudAlly API capabilities by introducing new user management endpoints for distributors and resellers.
Distributors can now create users for their own accounts and for any associated reseller accounts through new Distributor User Management APIs. Resellers can create users for their own accounts using the new Reseller User Management APIs.
When creating users, partners can define user roles, permissions, enabled backup services, and accessible customer accounts. This provides granular control over user access and helps ensure that users have the appropriate level of permission for their responsibilities.
The release also introduces user deletion APIs for distributors and resellers, enabling complete user lifecycle management through REST APIs.
