This document describes the Box backup and restore solution that CloudAlly offers its customers.

CloudAlly Backup of Box

What CloudAlly Backs Up

Box is a powerful file storage and collaboration platform, but lacks the ability to recover files that have been accidentally or maliciously destroyed. Once the Trash Folder is purged, your data is gone forever.

CloudAlly backs up all of your files and folders, and also stores settings and preferences of the individual files and folders, such as Folder sharing rights, etc.

What CloudAlly Does Not Back Up

• Tags
• Relay (workflows to automate common processes)
• Shield (data leak protection)
• Sign (e-signatures)
• Admin Console – users and groups, account and billing, apps.

Recovery

CloudAlly restore all of your files and folders, and also restores settings and preferences of the individual files and folders, such as tags, sharing rights, etc.

CloudAlly does not restore:

• Empty folders
• Trash folder
• Files that are owned by another user, that were shared with you.
